March/April 2012 scholarship postings:

Seniors: The Alliance for Unity is a group of Utah civic, religious, and business leaders committed to strengthening and unifying our communities. The Alliance is pleased to announce that its Unity Awards will be available. The Alliance will provide 30 scholarships of $2000 each to worthy graduating seniors in Utah high schools.  Come to the counseling center to get the application and see if you meet the requirements!

Seniors: If you have a family member affiliated with Phi Delta Kappa, there are more than 30 scholarships available to those students going into education. Pick up a flyer in the counseling center.

Seniors: If you haven’t decided on where you’d like to attend school after graduation, there’s a new option in St. George.  Stevens-Heneger College has opened and offers both Associates and Bachelors degrees. They even offer scholarships to help offset the tuition. Stop by the counseling center for more information!

Are you planning on attending Weber State and you’re looking for ways to pay your tuition? WSU has a program called Dream Weber that helps students pay for college who qualify with low income. If interested, log on to www.weber.edu/dreamweber

If you are planning on attending the University of Utah in the fall, come see Robin Birmingham in the counseling center for some scholarship offers specific for the university. 

The SWATC is offering scholarships to high school seniors who want to pursue their education at SWATC.  If you’re interested, see Robin Birmingham for applications.

Any student who is interested in health care career: SUU is having a Health Career Exploration Camp June 11, 12 & 13.  Cost of the camp is $100 and scholarships are available to offset the cost. The purpose of the camp is to provide a hands-on health career learning experience for students from rural areas. The requirements are a student be at least a sophomore and maintain a 3.0 GPA.  If you are interested, see Robin Birmingham in the counseling center.

Lynn Jensen Memorial Scholarship
$500 Scholarship for high school seniors who plan to become a school counselor or public education teacher for Grades K-12. Requirements include a high school transcript, SAT or ACT scores, student achievement form, two letters of recommendation, essay about a school counselor, a photograph, release.

Sterling Scholar - Opportunities for recipients
To be selected as a Sterling Scholar nominee, public high school seniors must have extraordinary scholarship scores as well as service in leadership and community service/citizenship opportunities at their Utah public high school.
